CD ReviewsLucia is unlike any other.......... zerogirl02u | Cleveland, TN | 09/29/2003 (4 out of 5 stars) "I first heard Drill on The Empire Records Soundtrack. The whole cd is really good, but Drill stood out with their track "What You Are". The version on the soundtrack is much shorter than the cd version. I finally found the cd (I had to buy a used copy myself). I was not disappointed. Lucia's vocals are amazing and the songs are well written. She is able to scream and then also achieve her other vocals as well-showing her range. My personal favs include "What You Are", "Go To Hell", "I Like You," and "Over And Out." Drill is no more, but if you crave more of Lucia Cifarelli you can purchase the MDFMK album (2000), as well as the KMFDM albums released after the MDFMK album. A must have (along with this Drill cd) will be her solo album released by Universal titled "From the Land of Volcanos." Check out http://www.kmfdm.net for pics & more info on Lucia. She is one of the hardest working & underappreciated women of rock out there!" Amazing vocals make this album Geoffrey Holtby | Thunder Bay, ON, Canada | 05/03/2002 (5 out of 5 stars) "It's a shame such a great band got dropped from their label. Lucia has now moved on to MDFMK/KMFDM of course, but this material can more hold its own against her work with Sascha & the gang. Lucia's voice is the driving force on this album. The music is good, but with anyone else singing it wouldn't work nearly as well. Lucia can scream. Sure anyone can do that, but she can scream and make it sound sexy. She goes from metal screams to soft singing in a heartbeat and somehow the two blend together seemlessly, giving a great effect. This is intense stuff, but at the same time highly melodic and listenable. The best songs are "i like you", "screamer" and "innuendo", but there's no duds here, every track is intensely listenable. If you can find a copy, this album is well worth picking up, as is the MDFMK album and anything else with Lucia Cifarelli's voice on it." Buy it if you can find it Geoffrey Holtby | 06/03/2001 (5 out of 5 stars) "i found this cd while rooting through a used pile.. and by god, bless the person that sold in the first place (though i have no idea why they did)i had already been searching for this album since the MDFMK album came out, which lucia (the singer) is in. it was harder than i thought though since (like the Skold album also) its out of print.. anyway, im a huge fan of any female singer in a rock band, something about the contrast that just works so well.. anyway, lucia can sing and belt out a really good scream that isnt growling or harsh.. you just have to hear it for youself.. the music is catchy, harsh (in a good way), melodic, and hard.. one of my favorite albums to date..if you can find this album and you are into bands like kmfdm, mdfmk or any one of the side projects that are related to them, or especially if you like female rock singers, you would have to be insane to pass up this buy"
