The recipient of numerous awards, Burke's music has been performed by ensembles such as the Los Angeles Philharmonic, the Eastman Wind Ensemble and the New Millennium Ensemble. This recording of his chamber music is performed by the di.vi.sion piano trio, an ensemble formed in 2001. The ensemble is committed to programming current music and regularly commissions new works. Their previous recording on Albany Records featured the music of Merrill Clark.
