There are many "self esteem" products out there that force feed the issue with contrived lyrics and forced melodies. Listen to one song from A Pocket of Tunes and you'll know this is different! Dr. Mac's material is as energizing and entertaining as it is supportive of children's needs. With engaging lyrics that never trivialize the message at hand and melodies that will even have grownups humming in the shower, it should be part of every family's CD collection! "Dr. Mac has done it again! Not only will your kids love this music, but my foot has been stomping all day! Finally some kids music that I can enjoy as an adult. "This CD is what my 1st Grade Class's Music Program has needed. I needed something easy and complete, that I could just grab and teach with, and this CD had that and so much more. The workbook includes the lyrics, plus optional journal prompts, coloring pages and extensions, all of which are built around wonderful songs that the children can easily relate to, sing and remember. The songs are beautifully produced, and touch on the feelings, frustrations, and friendship issues of children. They provide a great discussion starter, and speak to the children on their level. I love it and highly recommend it for parents and teachers."
