The Sound Engineer Should Be Shot

"This CD contains some awesome hard driving bluegrass banjo. The only problem is that you can't hear it. The CD sounds like it was recorded on a cassette recorder at the opposite end of a high school gymnasium. The sound engineer gave priority to the train whistle on the first track and bottom priority to Douglas. This is very frustrating because Douglas Dillard was an awesome picker in his prime. The cut "Clintch Mountain Backstep" is good but then there's a track or two containing a harpsichord which sounds like the Partridge Family with a banjo (It's enough to make anybody break out into a cold sweat). Bottom line: this CD contains the good, the bad, and the ugly."
