CD Reviews#11 in The USA on Prestiguous Gavin Report 08/31/2001 (5 out of 5 stars) "I first became aware of tenor saxophonist Doug Lawrence by hearing his first CD "Soul Carnival". It was a great debut for Lawrence as a leader and I couldn't wait to hear more. Well, this recording didn't dissapoint me. In fact I like this one just as much if not more. Mr. Lawrence stretches out even more on this date that also features guitarist Peter Bernstein, Adam Scone on B3 organ, Dennis Irwin on bass, Willie Jones on drums and "Poatato" Valdes on congas. It's a great party groove type CD with some great Doug Lawrence blowing his melodic style of bebop. Go out and pick this one up, you'll love it!"
