Professional intent is matched by precision of execution, and a singular vision is intensified by the fact that Doug plays and sings all the tracks, quite well, by the way. The album opens with "Time On The Line," almost a personal anthem, if that is not a contradiction, a song which moves to the edge of rock and roll, very good. The next two are my favorites of the moment: "Thursday's Child" and "The One True Love (That Got Away)," the latter especially, a ballad with that timeless quality of a statement, the truth of which is evident in an artful simplicity. All and all,this record is rich and diverse enough to keep one's ears interested, a fine effort. Keep'em coming." Listen to it! He's a musical veteran without a backlog of albums to show for it but I'm very glad this one is out there for the peoples to hear!"
