"For lovers of Irish folk music this album is a must. Paddy Glackin, a master fiddler, and Paddy Keenan, arguably among the greatest uilleann pipers, display their brilliance on this album. This is folk recording, unpolished but pure. For pipers and fiddlers, this recording is a source of study; for Irish music fans, it's a testament to the power of the Irish folk music tradition. Thank goodness it has finally been issued on CD; I've worn out my tape."
Rough, Ready, and Awesome

"This album is a must for Irish music fans. The two Paddies are in fine form here. Paddy Keenan's piping is expressive and technically brilliant and Paddy Glackin's fiddling is precise with beautiful tone. Uillean pipe fans will appreciate Paddy Keenan's use of the regulators on such tracks as "The Bunch of Keys" and "The Bucks of Oranmore." The two Paddies can play either sedately and with swing or full-on with all pistons firing. This album is a classic."
A classic, long out of print

"I first bought the tape I have about 14 years ago, when my son was first learning Irish music on the fiddle. He has become a terrific Irish fiddle player, and this will always be one of our favorites.
Not only are the two Paddy's in top form, the tunes on this CD are ones that everyone interested in Irish dance music and slow airs will want to be familiar with. (I didn't know this when I bought the tape since we were at the beginning of our Irish music adventure.)
As one of the previous reviewers mentioned, Paddy Keenan's use of the regulators is expert. This is the best CD I have heard of Paddy Keenan's music. Out of this world!
Paddy Glackin on fiddle is also awesome. The two of them together are as one, which is rare.
I feel so strongly about this CD I think everyone with an interest in pure Irish music should have it."
