"People have missed the boat on this rare cd. It's just three guys - guitar, bass and drums - playing tasty rock riffs with catchy but somewhat surreal lyrics. For example, in the song "Dots Will Echo" the lyrics say that having babies is akin to "leaving bread crumbs on the trail." Another song refers to getting "thrown through a window." But, most curious of all in our post-9/11 world, is the cd's final song "Big Jets in the Sky," a paen to the songwriter's love affair with jet planes that rhapsodizes about how he will "never be afraid of big jets in the sky." Of course, back in the early 90's when this song was written, no one would have suggested such an ironic juxtaposition.I like this cd because you can hear the interplay between the muscians who add inspired instrumental and vocal flourishes along the way. It's as if these three very intuitive musicians just sat down to jam, plaing and singing whatever came to mind with astonishing results that are just so darn organic.Some of these used Dots Will Echo cd's are selling for just under a dollar. How could you go wrong by buying one of them? I own three and I've got one near my car cd player at all times.Dots Will Echo is on the Windham Hill label so you can be assured that the guitar work is going to be stellar. I'm going to look up more details on these players in the All Music Guide and see if I can find some other albums that they play on. If I can find some other project they've contributed to, I'll take a chance and purchase it. (Info from All Music Guide)
