"3 1/2
Third release by the seminal 60's art-rockers was the first to show signs of creative slowdown. At the crossroads between druggie-poet-prophet and drunkie-horndog-bluesman, Morrison's rambling demeanor articulates the group chemistry erosion, but the band still manage to lay down an expected number of classics, albeit of a lower order."

"In the 60s, the Doors organist, Ray Manzarek, gave an interview in which he said you have to be intelligent to appreciate the Doors. Well, from a brief reading of the low-star reviews I can see he was right on the money with that remark."
