"The sound quality of these 1999 remasters STILL ARE THE BEST SOURCE for the ORIGINAL MIXES!! When you compare these to subsequent releases, the newer ones sound like crap. Also, the PERCEPTIONS box was totally REMIXED. SO...THIS IS THE BEST COLLECTION OF 'the doors' 6 Classic Albums, and some outtakes. WHen you compare certain tracks like "Orange County Suite", the version here is SO Much better than on the Newer remastered issue as a bonus track."

"Includes all the Doors albums and more. Much better than the "Boxed Set". The Doors music transcends time and is a hell of a lot better than popular music nowadays. I wasn't even alive in the 60's and most of the 70's and I love The Doors. After grunge died out and I got sick of punk, I discovered The Doors around 1997. I heard "Light My Fire" on la Radio and was instantly captivated and wanted to hear more Doors songs. I bought the Boxed Set and it was "ok", but this is much better, with all the real albums. Still listen to the Doors often, over a decade later. This is a must have for all Doors fans."
