"One reviewer here said that there is no mixing on this album. Considering the title is Mixed Live, and Donald is one of the best mixers around, I wouldn't take that review to seriously. What I think he meant to say is that there is no scratching or the fabulous turntablist techniques that Donald is known for. The reason for this is explained in Donald's interview. He was adapting to the environment he was in. He was enclosed in a DJ booth with hardly anyone around him. Also the position of the turntables, and the rotary style mixer make it virtually impossible to pull off scratching with confidence. This CD is still the 2nd best CD in the whole Mixed Live collection. Donald's blending and selecting of tracks make this a CD a must have. This is not a good representation of his live performances, but it is still one of the best house CD's out this year."

"First off, let me tell you that I'm a huge Donald Glaude fan. I have seen him live a few times and everytime is a treat. Maybe I have become spoiled so this cd wasn't up to par for me. Let me tell you why...If you have seen Donald before or heard his last mixed live cd, you'll know he likes to get crazy. In the past, he will scratch, play with the eqs, and yell to get the crowd pumped up. In the new cd, none of these are really done. I watched his interview on the DVD and he says he likes to "change his style." My question is, what is this new style? Another generic dj who just beat matches and mixes a new song in? That is boring. Where is the old Donald who use to have a strong passion when djing? I can think of a few reasons for the more "relaxed" cd. It may of been because of the different culture in London and him stuck in a booth, instead of overlooking a crowd. If you're a huge Glaude fan, why not buy this but I don't think you'll be impressed. You can just tell from the cover of the cd, it's not going to be a good one. Compare it to his last mix live. That should sum up everything."

"I love these mixed live cd's. This is my first time listening to glaude but upon hearing this it won't be my last. He has some really great bass lines on tracks and does some great tribal tracks. This is a great cd also because you get the great live feeling especially from the bonus DVD."
