"Don Drummond was a brilliant trombonist who is well-remembered in Jamaica, but little-known outside of that Island exceptm for hardcore ska and reggae fans. His life and death , growing up from abject poverty to a star trombonist and dying in a mental institution in 1969, is the stuff of movies. But the music is the thing here. "Cool Smoke," Feeling Fine" and "Occupation" are fine tunes that will keep you humming all day long, but Drummond's materpiece was "Eastern Standard Time," a favorite of Jamaican music fans that will also become one of your favorites once you hear it. Only minor complaint is that the driving "Man In the Street" (which would be perfect for a marching band) and "Marcus Junior" are not included here."
