"This album has some of the very greatest clarinet solos recorded in all of jazz history. Don Byron is the greatest clarinet player ever. The sparks fly on this inspired live recording."
If Don shines in the studio, he IS the sun live!

"I was blown away by the sheer power and presence that Don Byron and crew have live. Don Byron has tackled all frontiers of jazz with his other albums, and the ferocity and cohesiveness of his playing and that of his band only increase in this live performance. Uri, as always, is at his lofty best on the keys, and Smitty doesn't disappoint on the drums. Tuskugee Strutter's Ball gives me the chills everytime, with the layers and contrasting emotions portrayed in the drum solo with the piano background. Only six songs, but they can just lay back and blow with long solo sections to do the soloists justice. Highly recommended."
