CD ReviewsDome's most recent return...a must, just because ! C. J. Van Hall | Arnhem, The Netherlands | 10/31/2004 (5 out of 5 stars) "Great to find this cd at wiremailorder, and a pity, that it's availability is kind of limited/restricted. Two members of post-punk group Wire, Gilbert & Lewis, guided the listeners in 1980 towards great sounds. Rhytmhic landscapes, aswell as industrial, ambient, and experimental ways of music-impressions, work their way to your senses. Yclept partly found its way by Gilbert and Lewis swopping mini-discs, to work it out to a real new Dome record, the first in 15 years ! Exciting on the Yclept album, is the musical contribution they made for punk (ballet)dancer Micheal Clark: 'Because we Must' is really hypnotic, as there's a continuous beat, that typical Lewis-voice that enchants 'because we must...', underlined with spheric guitar sound of Bruce Gilbert. It makes the album versatile and is a good intro to the rest of their earlier Dome cd's aswell. Yclept is a MUST-have, just because...you shouldn't miss it, because we must...
