Synopsis
Album Description 2010 release, the third album from the California Alt-Pop/Punks. If there's one thing that experience can offer, it's learning from past missteps and building on the successes. And that's where the album title A Little Messed Up comes into play. It points to the idea that imperfections are all around and a natural part of human existence. No one's perfect and we're proud of that part of us, says vocalist/bassist Kelly Ogden. Similarly Requested CDs

CD ReviewsBeing "Messed Up" Can Be A Good Thing the rockin'edge | 08/17/2010 (5 out of 5 stars) ""A Little Messed Up" is an excellent cd that's entirely worth the listen. It can certainly rock without showing any signs of mercy but also has enough pop sensibilities to strike a balance. Rock Control, a semi-anthemic rock throw down, serves notice to the listener that The Dollyrots unapologetically own you for the next thirteen songs so strap in. It really grabs and shakes you and is destined to peel the paint off teenagers' bedroom walls everywhere (at the proper volume setting of course). It's extremely good. Some Girls (no, not Mick and Keith but Kelly and Luis), California Beach Boy, Rollercoaster, My Heart Explodes, and A Little Messed Up... each of which are completely infectious and singleworthy, are the rest of my favorites. The remaining songs aren't slouches either but honestly, I'll have to hear them some more. The Dollyrots have always put everything into crafting an album and they've truly never sounded better than they do on this one!" Turn it up and jump around Fuzzy the Merch Girl | 08/17/2010 (5 out of 5 stars) "every track is immediately catchy and while it still flows from The Dollyrots punk and slightly pop roots, the band is starting to sprinkle more influences into the mix. the album invokes moments of `90's alternative, like Veruca Salt, which is awesome, because that was when the radio was still good! the album "A Little Messed Up" has those toe-tapping, air guitar hooks you've come to expect from The Dollyrots, as well as the sugar-coated attitude and sly wink that underlays most of their lyrics. Kim Shattuck (The Muffs) lends backing vocals to the track "Some Girls."" Amazingly awesome itssel | 08/18/2010 (5 out of 5 stars) "i absoulutley fell in love with this album from the very beggining with kelly at bass and vocals, luis playing guitar, and chris rocking the drums theres nothing not to love about this albums sound its really great. its everything i expected and MORE i highly recommend this album i would buy it twice!"
