"This is an amazing debut, and it gets better with every listen. I can't really compare the music itself to any other artists, but I'd agree with the review which states that you will likely enjoy this if you're into Sufjan, Radiohead, Animal Collective, etc. I'd write a more detailed review, but this record has me in an emotional state that requires me leaving my computer immediately to pursue life."
Best of 09 so far. Truly under the radar.

"When it comes to new albums I feel I board the hype train at its first stop rather than when its leaving the station. That is to say I usually find out about bands somewhere after they have a bit of buzz around them, but before they show up on the cover of SPIN. But with this album I feel like Im sitting on the train at the station and its a couple hours overdue for departure! Seriously hipster websites like Pitchfork and Slant havent even metioned this guy and his album is one of the best in recent memory for me. I would love to see him get the press/hype he deserves.
I'll say this, if you like Bon Iver or Thom Yorke, then DM Stith is right up your alley. And I dont mean that in a 'he sounds like a poor-mans version of Thom Yorke' kind of way. This is a very engaging/layered/unique album that rewards multiple listens. I dont write reviews that often but I felt I should seeing as how there were only 3 reviews and this is such a great album."
