(5 out of 5 stars)
"Not since the Wutang Clan caught wreck in the early nineties has a group of mc's flowed so perfectly over a track. The Westcheddar 7 is sure to spark a solo career for at least 5 of the 7 featured rappers. The star of the show is the gravel voiced cat who rhymes second; he's dope, cancelling out those fake wanna be gangsters and g's with the line ... turned thug and went the rap route". Also, the kid that rhymes first is lyrically astounding, and gets his message across without cursing once, while the kid that rhymes third is real sweet with his spit game. (In fact, there aren't really any curses on the first track-how refreshing that is!). On the flip side, "we got that" is butter too; the kids have skills, and the track is blazing; hot yes, but not as hot as the westcheddar 7 joint. Also of note on the first track is the cat who chants "sing sing veteran, wescheddar legend"-his cadence is ill, and he even invented a new drink..belveder and Cristal (why not?).
Both jointz are produced by Preacher Earl, the cat who produces Nice & Smooth and The Diplomats; he's been putting it down for years; who knew he was also real nice behind the board?
To sum up this review, all I need is three words "Go Cop Dat"...can't wait to hear the album!"
