CD ReviewsGood industrial music D. M. MATALLIN | Valencia, Spain | 08/15/2001 (3 out of 5 stars) "If you already know DIVE, then you know which are the main elements of this project: distorted beats, minimalistic sounds, agressive voice... 'Concrete Jungle' is, after some albums which are quite interesting ('First Album', 'Final Report') but not very catchy, the first album by this band which combines the distorted bass and beats with a sort of more conventional (say, catchy) songs' structure. Here Iven's voice actually sings, and although distorted and agressive as always, he manages to transmit more different nuances than in his previous works, which were actually quite limited in range. It is not that DIVE invented anything new with this album, but what he does he does it alright. Best songs? maybe 'Bridges are Burning', 'Mother'... If you have listened to any of the later albums ('Snakedressed' and 'True Lies'), then you should give this one a listening: it is maybe less polished but maybe more varied. However, I prefer 'Snakedressed', but both are good enough if you like this style."
