"What a joy it is to hear music by musicians with discipline! (I'm so tired of rappers and samplers). Angels, sweet angels of harmony. The harmonies are so close they sound like sisters - sort of modern Everly Brothers harmony.



For those that haven't heard them, they are more nearly folk with a tinge of Texas swing than anything else. Angels with tart tongues, sharp, witty, clever lyrics, somewhat wistful.



My favorite songs are "What Happened to the Radio" (what, indeed!) "I Stole your Wishes" and "The Weeds are Winning" but all are entertaining - not a bad cut or a sour note.



The dreams of little girls who don't want to grow up. They are the shy quiet clever girls in the back of your high school English class who saw everything and said nothing.



I think I prefer their first two albums, but it's a minor quibble. Compared with those, the arrangements here are less elablorate. Despite what is said elsewhere, these aren't ballads, particularly, but there's less dynamics, less loud and soft passages for contrast, but satisfying never the less. I wish they had included a libretto, so I could read those funny lyrics.



I am at a loss to explain why an album this good is no longer available. I would love to see them live!
