"This CD is a recent (2003) re-issue of the original 1996 Core Records release. It contains one song addition ("Askin for Apples") and four bonus tracks. In a word, the CD is brilliant, even without the new material. Hamilton is a songwriter with a vivid imagination and special knack for turning a phrase with a wealth of melody. This CD contains both rockers, pop songs and two gorgeous acoustic ballads. Lyrically Dirk is as stong and clever as ever. Unbelievably, he was once reported saying he does not write poetry, just song lyrics. It's obvious he has a tune in his head when he does because the songs are so musically intricate and inventive. Dirk has a long musical career and this was his 8th studio release. His forst four LPs (two on ABC Records and two on Elektra) were sadly never relased as CDs. One day someboidy will get wise and re-issue them all. Dirk still around and has an eponymos website. His newest release is a double CD recorded live in Italy with a full band. A companion DVD is also for sale on his website. Keep rockin' Dirk. You may not have very many fans but I am certain they are all great admirers. Maybe they share the guilty pleasure of having you music all to themselves."
