A Bad Master

"This is one of my favorite Dionne Warwick albums. I have waited decades for it to finally come out on CD. Unfortunately, the master is defective. The store where I first purchased a copy of this CD went through 5 copies before giving me my money back. I ordered a copy directly from Collector's Choice after being assured there would be no problem and even their copy had the same defect. Save yourself a headache and wait until this album has been remastered again."
Abysmal mastering job. Shame on Collector's Choice!

"I'm in complete agreement with the other poster who pointed out that Collector's Choice dropped the ball on this one. The sound quality is tinny and shrill, and you can actually here a "foreshadow" of Dionne's voice on several of the tracks. How this made it past their quality control is beyond me.
If you're lucky enough to stumble upon the earlier Japanese pressing, snatch it up. This reissue will leave you sorely disappointed."
Some Of Dionne's Greatest Work

"Once upon a time I had all of Dionne Warwick's records on vinyl, this recording included. It had a nice stereo separation and a decent recorded sound, first rate orchestrations and a great selection of songs. One Hand, One Heart, Summertime and Anything You Can Do.(a duet with Chuck Jackson) This record has been out of print for a very long time and I have never seen it in a record shop in the U.S. I want to buy this record but the price tag is much too steep. So, if you are a rich person, buy this record so that when you play it for your friends, they will know that you are rich and that you have excellent musical taste."
