"This album is a masterpiece. Whether you are new to Dick Dale music or a long time fan you will be amazed by his artistry and unique guitar playing. There are hard driving electric guitar pieces and in addition there are magnificient acoustic pieces. It is very rare in one album to go from high energy, hard driving unique electric guitar pieces to south of the border acoustics guitar to blues in one cohesive album. He even throws a few great vocal pieces. Most of the material is newly composed and Dick Dale never stops to amaze. He just keeps getting better and better which is hard to imagine, since he is one of the greatest innovators of guitar playing in the history. This album is next best thing to see him play live."
It's more fun if you already know Dick Dale

"If you are new to Dick Dale or just getting reacquainted then don't buy this album first. Try "Tribal Thunder" instead and then come back to Spacial Disorientation. If you are a fan or are into to guitar music in general then definitely pick up this album. Dick spreads out and plays out and around from the surf sound that made him a king.Dick proves that he can play well anything he wants to in any style or genre. If you are looking just for hardcore surf guitar this album will disappoint you but if you want to hear a great musician groove outside of his standard fare then dig in."
A Triumph!

"It's taken nearly forty years for Dick Dale to be recognized beyond the California borders as the true Guitar-God that he is. Dick Dale was able to create a sound that other artists, like the Ventures, were only able to dream about.Spatial Disorientation is the best of his "Comeback Part III" efforts. It's a must for any guitar instrumental lover. What really needs to be released on CD is his early '80's "live" epic, "The Tiger's Loose." It's a crime the Rhino has not re-released it!"

"This is a fantastic CD. The variety of material, from kick ass rock & roll to the gentle, latin flavored ballads, can't be beat. If you're new to Dick Dale's music or a longtime fan, you should definitely add this to your collection."

"The most recent album from Dick Dale is a sure winner. It's certainly made for playing air guitar and shaking your booty around your living room. Usually when a rock band or musician puts out albums 20 or 30+ years into their career, the recent albums can't hold a candle to their classic material. Dick Dale is one of the very few exceptions tp this rule. The guy's like a fine wine that just gets better with age. Lots of hard rockin' surf instrumentals, as you can imagine. There's even a few detours into some spanish guitar numbers. Tambien, el es muy bueno!!! The only negative would be the same thing that affects pretty much all of Dick Dale's albums, and that would be the songs where he sings. This is just personal taste, but I can't stand vocals in surf rock. Dale communicates best with his guitar, and that's why we all love him. So, as Frank Zappa put it: Shut Up And Play Your Guitar. This, like most of Dale's albums, is a good place to start for a newcomer as well as the hardcore fan. Really, you can't go wrong with him. He's one of the few artists that consistently puts out quality work. I'm really not telling you anything you don't already know, so I'll stop now."
