"Fourth installment in the "On The Radio" compilations presenting songs of the 60s and 70s in their original as-heard-on-radio versions, this CD continues the series with a slightly expanded 16-track set. As in previous volumes, here are found the versions as they were originally heard on radio but, in many instances, with the benefit of stereo sound stage. Some of the tunes are edits of the longer album versions that usually appear on CD. In this group are "Aquarius/Let The Sunshine In" by the Fifth Dimension, "Joy To The World" by Three Dog Night and Blood, Sweat and Tears' "And When I Die" among others. Two songs whose heretofore available stereo versions were entirely different recordings from the singles are presented here - one, "Time Is Tight" by Booker T. and the MGs in a stereo version of the single while Wadsworth Mansion's "Sweet Mary" appears in its original mono version. Overall, 12 (1,2,6,7,9-16) of the tracks appear in stereo with the remainder (3-5,8) in mono. As with others in the series, an eight-page booklet with backround on each of the included tracks accompanies the disc. Dick Bartley continues to right the wrong of previous reissues with this newest CD in his crusade to present the classics of rock radio as they should be."
