"This CD is a reissue of the UK compilation by the same title and song selections for the EU market. However the very rare cover and inlay photos are different. The former photo circa 1963 shows The Supremes striking a very sexy girl group pose and the inlay photo is an alternate photo from the A Bit of Liverpool photo shoot; or for the UK readers the From Us To You photo shoot. The subtitle should be Salute Motown Stars as there are excellent covers of This Old Heart Of Mine;Love Is Like A Heat Wave,Get Ready, What Becomes Of The Brokenhearted and Get Ready. Other 60's tribute tunes include a very pensive version of Ode To Billy Joe-the original version of that song kept the newly named Diana Ross & The Supremes from reaching #1 in the U.S., a tender version of Unchained Melody and Western Union Man. Some of the biggest Supremes hits are here-the forementioned Reflections; the number 1 hits-You Can't Hurry Love and Someday We'll Be Together; their swan song. Also included are the Smokey Robinson composition The Composer, and other hits including Nothing But Heataches, No Matter What Sign You Are and Forever Came Today. Diana's lead on Wonderful World is very sensual and reminds us why The Supremes sound is still very fresh today."
