The pogues meet punk

"If you love The Pogues or any kind of bluegrass, you will love this album. The Natchez Shakers includes members of the indie-punk group The Wednesdays, so there is also a lot of pure, unbridled energy. Every track has its own sound, unlike a lot of music today. All the music is recorded at once (no multi-tracking), so it sounds the same on CD as it does live (although live you actually get to see them getting into the music). It's very raw and unrefined, so if you don't like that (but who wouldn't?) you should probably look somewhere else. But for those who have gotten tired of the spit-and-polish of most of today's music, I promise you will not be disappointed."
