Below standards, or just "been there done that"

"Maybe I'm being a bit hard, but this stuff sounds like a zillion other remixes. None of these really grabbed me the way other Depeche remixes have in the past. The b-side on pt. 1, "Better Days" was the weakest b the boys have released in a while."
The mixes on this are disappointing

"I have to agree with most of the other reviewers. While the song itself is a strong one, none of the remixes do it any justice. Gone from almost every mix is the guitar riff which makes the original song so good!
While generally I praise DM for the quality of their remixes, only hard core collectors should consider this release, and even then, most will feel ripped off.
If you're looking for good modern DM remixes, pick up the singles for "A pain that I'm used to" or "Precious." Both have a lot more to offer than any of these mixes of "Suffer well.""

"What can I say, BORING> DM is my favorite band, but this remix CD is way below par. The original song is way better than the poor remixing on this CD."
Only the m83 remix.........

"now Playin the Angel is 100%, suffer well is not the best song from it (mostly because of Gahan's weaknesses in songwriting: the lyrics and the melody are poor, sorry, David you are the singer, let Martin write the songs), the video is another disappointment, even when they finally get back to Anton Corbijn, this video is meant to be hilarious, it is however more like redicilous, Corbijn made a good job for coldplay's talk anyway, he could have done something better for his favourite band as well.
the remixes are also disappointing. Tiga doesn't do anything with the song, the meteope vocal mix is so-so, but the original dub-version is no good. the alter-ego mix is getting on my nerves. and that narcotic thing doesn't even deserve a word, it's just stupid, i don't ever wanna hear it in any club!
however the M83 remix shines true. these french guys managed to lift the song to a more interesting level, with some additional vocals, and an interesting reconstruction: dave's vocals are kind of an intro to the progressive instrumental ending part. i love it
so 5 stars for DM generally 5 stars for M83 but no stars for this naxi all in all it's a 3 stars, but i am way too generous."
