A dark soundscape with new wave guitar, tight rhythms, and reverent vocals. It jumps out as dark and perhaps gloomy but the underlying direction in DeoVolente's music and philosophy is toward the light. This record could be defined as psychedelic in that it does not resolve in the typical and expected musical ways. It is a trip through mental intervals. There are synthesizers, comb filters, new wave guitars, heavy metal guitars, deep synth basses, distorted bass guitars, and of course drums. The vocals ride the music with melody and the philosophy of the inner voice.
