"If I had to be stranded on a desert island and had only 20 CDs to take with me, this would be one of them. I bought this from the Nature Company in the early 90s. The music is such a great mixture of bouncy tunes to nice slow tunes and it's all very enjoyable. Your mind kind of wanders and you enjoy all the best of what you envision of the Bayou. No mosquitoes, snakes, or alligators.I'd looked for Hysom's music before on this site, but he wasn't there. I would also highly recommend Glacier Bay and Badlands. I like music that you can tap your foot to and/or you can hum or sing to. You can do both with this CD. Not just a bunch of animal sounds and chords thrown together.I agree that some of Hysom's music is a disappointment, but this one is the best and the other two I named are great, too."

Relax to the sounds of the Bayou

"I bought this disc not knowing exactly what to expect, but it has to be one of my favorite CD's that I own. The Music inter-twined with the sounds of the Bayou are so relaxing. Having a stressful job, I listen to this CD most of the day at work. It has done wonders for my concentration and mood. Each song can bring out a different yet uplifting emotion. Lacassine has to be my favorite, an upbeat and happy tune. Perfect for a dreary day. I look forward to purchasing more of Dennis Hysom's recordings."
