"It's like almost every other album he does is mediocre at best, and this is that "other" album. It's okay for the R&B sound, but I was hoping this would be more of a Praise/Worship/Anointed album. The sounds, the music, even the lyrics are great, just not what I was hoping. He does better with live recordings I think. Definitely not the worship experience I was hoping from the title, "Revealed".

This dude is the real deal

"Deitrick Haddon churns out another gospel hitmaker with "Revealed." I have been a fan of his music from the very beginning, and one thing I can say about this brother is that he is definitely NOT a lazy gospel music artist. All of the songs are original, funky, and fresh. Deitrick is being his usual flyy, uber-cool self, and his personality, along with his anointing, fills the air like the sweet aroma of burning incense. Do you, Deitrick! My kids LOVE it! We waited a LONG time for this CD to release, and he has THREE MORE on the way! I have NEVER bought a bootleg of this man's work, and you shouldn't either! Make this investment, and believe me, you will not be disappointed! My favorite tracks are "Soul Survivor," "Reveal My Heart," "It's Raining," and "I Need Your Help." The radio tracks, "Love Him Like I Do" and "I'm Alive" are here, too. I don't want to spoil this musical experience for you; listen for yourself (AFTER you buy, of course), and choose your own favorites!"
NOT FEELING IT!

"Coming off the "Together In Worship" CD which was OFF THE FREAKING CHAIN - I was expecting a whole lot more. I personally like the 7 days CD better than this one. I "LIKE" a lot of the tracks but I don't "LOVE" any of them. I really like "Jesus For President", and of course "Love Him Like I Do", but other than that I'm just not putting any of these tracks on repeat you know what I mean. Ever since "Crossroads" and "Lost & Found", I haven't been feeling his studio albums.
I also think his joke about his wife and I'm paraphrasing - now the whole world knows what I already know, that my wife is good - was totally unnecessary. Even HE admitted it didn't sound right in the CD cover. Also saying stuff like "lets make this money", is just not something I'd expect to hear a gospel artist say. It just sends the impression that he's more concerned about money than ministry and I don't believe that's true - but why say contreversial stuff like that. What is up with gospel artists taking album cover pictures like they are Hip-Hop stars? A decent album...just not a banger!"
If You only buy one of his albums--THIS SHOULD DEFINATLY BE

"First let me say I am a huge Deitrick Haddon fan, who still kills his older albums on a regular basis. Especially am I a fan of how well he incorporates traditional and contemporary Gospel, R&B, Pop, and Rock elements (that few artist have ever mixed well), while maintaining the critical element of lyrical and spiritual substance in his music. His phenomenal vocal ability, and spirit filled ministry keep his songs constantly on my IPOD, and his CD's in my car.
That being said I first have to say Deitrick's last album "7 Days" totally disappointed me with a very single minded and dominate R&B focus (secular Producers Tim and Bob were largely responsible for the content and production). The majority of that project didn't have any LIFE, or substance to me. Not that it sounded bad, it was just so elementary "Once was blind but now I see," cliche-saturated, repetitive in style and to make a long story short, like this run on sentence I just wanted it to end. I was never really feeling it!
Needless to say I was a little hesitant to buy this one. So if you like me were a little hesitant after 7 Days, let me tell you--you don't have to be concerned. He's fixed the problem and is back, in my opinion better than ever. His spirit gripping renditions of musically diverse anthems, ballets, club smashing hits will grab hold of the deepest part of your soul and take you a little bit higher. In a very tight economy this is the one CD I absolutely had to buy--and would buy again if I lost it. Musically, Lyrically, Spiritually, and in every other way this CD is definitely a keeper that will not disappoint.
