"I highly recomend buying the special edition of white pony w/ "the boy's republic" instead of buying the (new version) white pony w/ "back to school". "the boy's republic" has the moody dark ambient kind of sound to it that blends in perfectly with the rest of white pony, while "back to school" which is actually kind of a louder almost rap like remix of "pink maggot", should belong on an album like adrenaline. also, "the boy's republic" is definitely one of my 3 favorite songs on this album along w/ "change" and "korea" and ends the album better than "back to school" begins it. so forget about going back to school and celebrate because this is the boys republic!"
Must listen!

"Though not as heavy and hard as their previous albums, White Pony seems to be the most thought-out musically. With this effort, the deftones have produced an album of incredible intensity that keeps the listener entranced from beginning to end. The collaboration with Maynard James Keenan (of Tool and A Perfect Circle) on "Passenger" is particularly good. The album is full of rich melodies and harmonies, but the deftones are not afraid to be in-your-face hard rockers either, and they maintain a balance of the two on this album. The enhanced CD version contains all sorts of goodies, from personal band pictures and writings to internet links and an interactive deftones game which can keep you amused for hours (trust me, I know). All in all, I have come to like this album as much as their others, if not more, and that says something because I think "Around the Fur" is a fantastic record."

"With the latino/dance/rave/pop trend extending its fifteen minutes fo fame into what have proven to be several long years, it's nice to see that there is, in fact, a very alive underculture. Bands like Nine Inch Nails, A Perfect Circle, and the Red Hot Chili Peppers (we'll, miss you Smashing Pumpkins) have re-assured my faith in the future of rock and music in general, and there's another band to add to that list - the Deftones. With their new album, "White Pony", Chino Moreno (et al) have shown that they have what it takes to stand the test of time. It is very possible to see the similarities between their new work and older hits (such as "Be Quiet And Drive"), yet, as evidenced by tracks such as the beautiful "Teenager", the band has obviously felt no need to stick to the tried and true. This is a very good thing - the willingness to evolve sets truly grat bands apart from the one-hit wonders.Another track worth mentioning (outside of the current singles) is "Passenger", which features Maynard Keenan, of "Tool" and "A Perfect Circle" fame. But then again, they're all fairly solid tunes. Take the White Pony out for a bit of a ride... you'll be glad you did."
Quite enjoyable...

"After listening to all of, and memorizing most of, Deftones' White Pony album, I have come to the conclusion that it is worthy of the title of masterpiece in my eyes and CD collection. "Feiticeira," "Knife Prty," and "Pink Maggit" are intoxicating, moody, and pleasantly unique. Also, the guitars in the extra track "Boys Republic" are very original and hypnotic. This is such a horrible review, but I'm tired. Just know that this CD is great in my book. Good. GREAT. GRAND. WONDERFUL. NO YELLING ON THE BUS!"
