"As mentioned in the review to Purplexed, this is a fantastic single Mark II compilation of "Classic" Purple. The remastering makes Ian Gillan's voice soar, Ritchie Blackmore's guitar sing, Roger Glover's bass rumble, and Ian Paice's drums and Jon Lord's organ, sound terrific. The members of Deep Purple are masters of metal, better than any "sound alike" bands, if there were any, on the market today. I'd grab up as many of the cds as you can. Also, if you also like darker, and heavier, their fellow Brits, Black Sabbath, are also worth a listen. This music holds up 20 to 30 years later, let's see any of today's "artists" say that 20 to 30 years down the line. Black Sabbath and Deep Purple rule!"
