CD Reviews
U R Sleeping?

"How come there's no one reviewing this CD? That's just too bad because this is probably the best one by DD since their GU21 Moscow, the best in GU series IMHO. As I¡¦ve heard and learned , there are two different flavors which could classify DD. One is described as chillout, melodic, housey with sexy vocals like what u¡¦d expect from Renaissance Ibiza and Yoshiesque 2 West Coast. The other flavor would be the unmistakable mid-tempo, dark, funky, tribal with tuneful bass pounding unlike anything but the sound found in GU21 Moscow and Yosh 2 East Coast. And this style is what makes DD a true standout from the rest. I really missed this SECOND FLAVOR because I didn¡¦t find much of it from their GU25 Toronto and Afterclub Mix by Dubfire. I was especially disappointed with Dubfire¡¦s CD since it sounded mostly like lounge music and not much dark and tribal stuff that I enjoyed so much from the Moscow album. Enough BS, now get to the CD by Sharam. Track one is chillout and had me worried if it¡¦s gonna be another chillout disappointment. But no, the second track THE WISH just gave me hope and had me wished for more. A wonderful bouncy vocal track which blended seamlessly with the next track SOLAR PLEXUS, my favorite track of the CD. Yeah, the mid-tempo dark beat that I craved about is there. The following track Airbomb is the climax point of the CD. It¡¦s progressive trance which carries high energy vocal. Are we talking about a Moscow Afterclub Mix here?! It sure sounds like it at this point. Track five slows down a bit but keeps the upbeat tempo going. Track six BLACK AM is a catchy vocal with pop-like rhythm. Track eight LOVE GAMES is also a fun male vocal track with catchy lyrics. Track nine and ten went to the dark path of trance which made John Graham aka Quivver and Satoshi Tomiie famous. Now the cool track U R Sleeping, a more rhythmic mix than the original and its humorous speech content just never gets old. The CD ends with a soft note with ALIVE, which sounded dead compared to early tracks. So if u¡¦re a Moscow fan like me, don¡¦t hesitate and grab this CD in mantis style. And if u¡¦re a fan of Yoshiesque or Toronto, grab it anyway and witness the fact that Sharam is the better of the two. DISHMAN rules!"

"Sharam's after club is a very nice fun mix of pro house , some tracks that stand out to me are, solar plexus, watkins black am, and the last two tracks but the solar plexus is a amazing bass line track very addicting but over all the cd has very good track selection"

"Nothing. We all know how great this duo is already. For them to release "solo" sets is a real treat to the fans and especially the die-hard Deep Dish fans who will go anywhere and everywhere to see them live. Space in Miami is my personal favorite but thats neither here nor there. I listened to Dubfire's mix for several months before I even bought Sharam's. I LOVE them both. They are a must for any Deep Dish fan. Now I can listen to Penetrate Deeper, Yoshiesque 1 and 2 and the Moscow and Torono GU's and know who's spinning the magic at any particular time. Dubfire's is the more sublte of the two, starting off slow and gradually building to a peak while Sharam's set wastes no time. It's banging from beginning to end. No need to go track for track as the real beauty here and in Dub's set is in the mixing and track selection. They are both geniuses and masters at their craft. I thank God every day that I wake up that they have a residency not to far from me @ Sapce in Miami. Buy this now, throw it on and be amazed. Again Deep Dish hits it out of the park!!!"

"What can I say? Other that Sharam is the absolute best. The afterclub mix in my opinion is the best mix of the toronto series. This is a definite must buy. Sharam truely is a master at his music."
