"I am by no means a Debbie Gibson fan, but this song is actually very good! Much better than anything else I've heard from her. Is a good pop/r&b song. Unfortunately, the single didn't get the airplay it deserved, I guess because DJ's didn't take the one time teen queen seriously. They didn't want to adknowledge the fact that she is now a grown woman and her music is more mature- not the bubblegum stuff she did in the 80's."

I really did not know much about this vocalist/songwriter until I heard this single. I quickly became a fan of hers. She has a charismatic, strong, smooth voice that is distinctive. This single will easily make you a Deborah fan if you are already into Dance-Pop music. "What You Want" is similar to "All I Want Is You (Come On Over)" by Christina Aguilera and "Irresistible" by Jessica Simspon, so you know this is gonna be really enjoyable! I like the B-side song "Comes Right Back" as well, it's a nice acustic pop song. So, if you are a fan of their work or songs from any other Dance-Pop artist, you will love "What You Want"! Recommended to any and all Dance-Pop music lovers!"
