CD ReviewsExcellent song!!! asturiaz | Belgium | 04/13/2003 (5 out of 5 stars) "The cooperation of Death in Vegas with Oasis' Liam Gallagher has given an outstanding result: "Scorpio Rising". Musically speaking the song has a great, crispy guitar riff. There are also some mellow sounds which are very similar to those in OASIS "Who Feels Love". - The album version is 5:38 min and there is no blank. Actually, being a big fan of OASIS, I think this is better than some of their latest singles. Plus, the lyrics are awesome.- The Polyphonic Spree mix (5:10) is a very nice version that take the crispy guitar away and replace it with some great melodic chorus. Excellent. - The Scientist version (4:29) is a reggae version of the song which I find quiet bad. The voice of Liam as recorded for the original version does not fit with the music. - The Live XFM @ulu (5:28) is a more electronic mix which has less lyrics but is still pretty good. It was recorded live on 104.9FM London in October 2002.- The Scientist Dub (4:18) - same as the other Scientist version.- There is also an enhanced section with footage of the recording. It does not include the video of the song.I wish OASIS could go this way in their next album. Highly recommended for any fans of OASIS, Death in Vegas and more largely of indie."
