Amazing music

"I am a huge fan of Dear Nora. Their music is the kind that you can hum to yourself while taking a walk through the beautiful streets and trails of Portland, maybe skipping a little bit just for fun. Or playing to yourself in your room and dancing with no discernible pattern or rhythm necessarily. You can hear them having FUN when they're singing, and that is something deliciously wonderful and rare in this world of dark sarcastic cynicism and Total Request Live. Just as they are named after a beloved professor at Lewis & Clark College, Katy Davidson's lyrics and voice come from the heart: pure and simple melodies and gorgeous harmonies from Marianna Ritchey. You'll be inspired to play the songs over and over again; just to hear a little segment of a song again (and then again). Like the beautiful pause in the middle of "Since You Went Away."...and the songs are not only sweet (rarely being the least bit loud and raucous), but they're short. A quick but incredibly satisfying fix of beauty for your day, if you will. Peace, love, happiness, best friends, birthdays... Dear Nora."
