Dear Nora wows me again

"Dear Nora follows up last year's LP We'll Have A Time with this lovely EP. Katy Davidson has moved to Oregon, leaving the other two thirds of her band in California. This EP, which is actually 11 songs but, in Dear Nora tradition, doesn't go much over 20 minutes, is chock full of nostalgia and sweetness. It contains three inventive instrumental codas to other songs. The opening track, The New Year, begins sparse but soon grows to totally unexpected and beautiful peak. The rest of this wonderful album follows the mood of this opening track: delicate, yet at the same time strong."
