Synopsis
Album Description Transport yourself to another place.. a positive relaxing place through this music. It's a mix of classical sounding new-age with a wide variety of warm instrumental textures- kinda like Enya half speed with no vocals or Kitaro with less high sounds and simpler recognizable form. There is no way to describe where Dean Raskin's music can take you when listened to all the way through. All the songs in the whole series work together within certain parameters that are never broken. Like the way a movie is a collection of scenes or episodes working together telling one story. Each song is like a temporary place that leads to another and so on drawing you deeper into a wonderous state of inner peace. The cds are a combination of art and function. Each song in each cd gradually gets calmer and calmer. The aim being that by the end of a cd one may be in a relaxed state, asleep, or in a deep slumber. This is not music to be 'cranked' up to full volume. It is not the generic monotone type relaxation music that drives you crazy after 30 seconds! Each individual track from the entire Dean Raskin deep relaxation Music series is now available to download from the most popular internet jukeboxes like apple I-tunes, MusicNet, and the new Napster. |
CD ReviewsWonderful massage cd mart38 | MN USA | 01/25/2001 (5 out of 5 stars) "I'm a massage therapist and sometimes find it difficult to find cds that are relaxing without being annoying (e.g. "haunting" melodies). Another problem is that, once I've played a cd a couple of times, I can begin to anticipate the music...unconsciously move in time, hum it in my head, etc. This cd is my all-time favorite. I never get tired listening to it, yet I'd be hard-pressed to hum a few bars. I'm able to center on the work I'm doing, my clients are able to focus on relaxing, and there isn't a Pachelbel's Canon in D anywhere! Wee hoo!" Out of This World! mart38 | 04/09/2000 (5 out of 5 stars) "The music on this CD lets me recollect myself in meditation quicker than any other music or technique I have ever used. The music is beautiful, yet noninvasive so that after awhile it is a wonderfully peaceful background while I focus. Powerful tool! Powerful music!" Very relaxing Katherine Kirk | Santa Rosa, CA USA | 08/25/2001 (5 out of 5 stars) "I like to listen to this CD as I do my evening yoga routine. It's very soothing and relaxing. My mind begins to calm down from the day's activities and let go. This CD is surprisingly effective!"
