this cd sucked. it's bad techno music and bears little resemblance to anything dead kennedys. maybe lyrics but not music.
CD Reviews
Meg Lee Chin:Reason enough to buy this!

"Well...IF you don't like industrial music, this may not be your thing, BUT, the songs are true to the spirit of the DK's(like it or not, punk belongs to everyone that hates authority, so there all you snobs with mohawks,etc.,etc., ad nauseum....)And as for the ever deilightful Meg Lee Chin? Just listen to track 3. And then send the song to everyone you know. She's the best. (By the way, I've been reading these other reviews, and I was struck by the number of people whining about "Jello would hate this!" or "Jello probably hates drum machines, oh my!" None of you probably know the man in "real life", do you? This album was made with Jello's blessing.Punk.Industrial. Who cares? Good music is good music. Take a chance, it's only money..."
Jock O Rama!

"Covers of classics that got me to whip out my original DK albums...Not a lot of great tracks here but a pretty fresh attempt. I thought Jock-O-Rama was the best track on this album, which really stood out with the fun and subversiveness (and now with clever samples?) that brought the original so close to my heart and liver."
Not too hot, but all you people are wacky

"This is not really a good album, because the music isn't so hot. It's interesting, and as an old-school punk fan, I just had to check it out. It's OK. However, all you people who are saying "DK should stay punk!" Hey, that's stupid. You don't own DK, jello does, and it's his right to do whatever he wants with it. I can't believe there are so many fans of jello with such abhorrently closed minds. You're not DK fans. You never heard a word the man said. He was a thinker, not a blind intolerant hater like some of you people."

"A punk cover of a punk song would be redundant. Something different is nice."
Good mutations of good songs.

"I'm not a huge tribute album fan, but this one is interesting. Unlike the title would suggest, the songs aren't very dub but they are cool. Most tracks are stripped down, raw and on the low-fi tip. It stays true to the punk spirit with a new "electronic" spin."
