"Possibly the best part of the film, David Shire's score for "The Hindenburg" captures the feel and mood of the last flight. The Main Title is very memorable and gives the feeling of lighter-than-air travel that we'll never see again. When used at the end of the film, it becomes almost a musical eulogy as the ship fades into the clouds. Although a short album, it's very good and will bring back all the highlights of the film. I'm glad to finally have it on CD, as I still have a very used LP from 1975. The new liner notes are very good, too.

Let's hope Universal will some day restore the film and issue a DVD with bonus features and a much better picture and sound."
