"Irrecroncilable Similarities is another gift from the mind and heart of David Roth to his fans and friends. Rarely have I heard an artist who can move his listeners from irreverent laughter to earnest tears in a single set. David is a gifted lyricist. At his best he knows his work is impacting people in a profound way, catching them in the moment of an inbreath and holding their attention for a moment ... a moment from which they will proceed and see the world through new eyes. Parents will see the world their kids play around in through different eyes after hearing "Seconds and Thirds". If you have ever felt compassion you will be deeply moved by "Sister Helen's Lists".Any Internet users will find something familar about "I Have Learned" and you will carry the tune and lyric from your workplace to the gym for your workout and home again to share with your family. If you have grown up or lived in any Smalltown USA, then "Three Signs" and "Two for One in Podunk Town" will curl your face into a smile while your head bobs up and down in a knowing nod.You can spend money on music that blasts you down or makes you cool 'cause you know the current headbanger best. If you want music that you can use to lift you up, mellow you out, remind you of the power in humility, invest in David's music. It will claim an intimate space in your life and you will find yourself visiting that space often to bask in it and share it.David has significant work to do in the world and his body of work thus far is just a beginning.MRC"

"David is one of the best songwriters out there. Irreconilable Similarities is another fine D.R. CD without a song that could be considered a miss. If you think you have found one, just listen to the words and you will be hooked. David's singing, sense of humor and guitar playing make this CD a favorite play."
A great artist and an even better person!

"Folk music was a genre of music I knew nothing about. In Aug. 2000, I attended a weeklong workshop/class called Healing, Education, Laughter, and Play. One of the guest speakers was David Roth. When I first noticed that a folksinger was scheduled to speak, I wasn't sure what to expect. After spending 2 days with David. he had all of us not only singing, but also loving it.I purchased 2 of his CD's at the workshop, and also attended his concert that Friday evening. David's songs have the uncanny ability to make you laugh, and also touch your heart. If you ever get a chance to see this wonderful performer live, do not pass it up. He is not only a superb performer, he is a terrific person. My favorite song on this CD is "Cutter of Stone". It has a wonderful message. Enjoy!"

"David sings to my heart. This CD has so many wonderful offerings...some songs from his personal life and some from true stories of other people or situations.Every song has a message with positive reinforcement...love, thankfulness,forgiving...these are the thoughts that his music drives home to me. I'm just in awe of his work. There are some funny cuts at the end of the CD that really are good also."
