Album DescriptionWorld premiere recording of the acclaimed new ballet score by Stephen Warbeck, composer of the Oscar-nominated soundtrack to Shakespeare in Love. A major new addition to the Northern Ballet Theatre?s repertoire, which will be featured in extensive tours and performances throughout the UK. Stephen Warbeck is Head of Music of the Royal Shakespeare Company. Originally an actor, he has recently established himself as Britain?s most sought-after film composer. In addition to Shakespeare in Love, he has written the scores for Billy Elliot, Quills, Mrs. Brown, My Son the Fanatic and other critically acclaimed films. Born in 1948, Warbeck began composing at age four and became a rocker in his teens. He is still a member of the anarchic pub band The Kippers, as well as a film and concert music composer. Supported by an extensive PR and publicity campaign focusing on music, film and ballet journals and broadcasters, as well as the Northern Ballet?s own marketing plans and promotion. John Pryce-Jones has been music director of Northern Ballet Theatre since 1992 and is also director of the Halifax Choral Society.
