Very Exciting Big Band Music

"As David Murray is known for his exciting octet ensembles this first live recording at Sweet Basil with the big band is an outstanding recording. Especially "Bechet's Bounce" is a track where one can't keep still. The entire recording is refreshing and an exciting example of a big band in full flight with surprising changes in the solos and different moods like in "Lovers". If you like Murray you must have this recording, if you have never heard of him buy this one and it will be the first in a row of many others from this great jazz musician."
