Though most of the songs are covers, they are interpreted with incredibly mastery and attention to detail. Friesen doesn't believe in premeditated rehersals, therefore keeping the music fresh both for himself and for the listener. Even non-jazz lovers should be able to appreciate this CD for what it is.
