"This is an acoustic show that Mason did back in 1981...long before unplugged became cool. It's just him and guitarist/violinist/vocalist Jim Krieger. It's on CD for the first time (it was a Pioneer Laserdisc back in the day). There are 13 tracks here...all the hits plus covers of Stand By Me, All Shook Up, Bring It On Home To Me, All Along The Watchtower, Take It To The Limit and Dust My Blues by Elmore James. It's a good show but I would only recommend this to someone who already owns all the essential Dave Mason albums before buying this."

"I recently saw Dave Mason at the Rialto in Loveland and bought the CD. It is wonderful! He and Jim Krieger show their virtuosity for both vocals and how they play guitar. It has some of his best work, that you won't hear anywhere else."

"This Cd was a very pleasant surprise to me, as I took a gamble and bought it after reading the reviews on these pages. Mason's guitar playing is really showcased and it's clearily evident that he is a master craftsman with the guitar. This album is as good as any of his and better than some. I like it as well as Eric Clapton's unplugged and the song selections are well done. I really can't find anything wrong with it, and I do recommend it especially if it's on sale or from one of the Amazon stores, it's just one of those nice finds that when you play it, you like it. I just wish Dave Mason would write new material because he has/had a talent that should still be producing new songs."

"this cd is really and truly not very good and i strongly recommend you don't waste your money. i mean he covers "stand by me", "all shook up" and "take it to the limit" among others, for crying out loud. plus the entire album is acoustic and i much prefer mason on electric guitar. buy some of his studio albums which are much better."
