"What a pleasant surprise Daude's most recent work is. Of course, this new CD features her unique voice filled with her usual contagious exuberance, but the beats and arrangements are very forward-thinking, indeed. It's a shame that Daude hasn't achieved megastar success in nosso querido Brasil as yet, but her fans in the North (America and Europe) will be sure to appreciate this disc both for its good rhythms and not-so-subtle social messages. This album is black, black, black (in the good sense) and in the songs Uma Neguinha, Crioula and Ile Aiye, she speaks directly to black pride and against prejudice and is 100% effective in her roles as singer and social commentator. Ah, if only North America's songstresses could produce work like this. Parabens nega!"
