"Darryl is at his absolute best in the new album appropriately titled "Here and Now". There is something for everyone on this great CD, from the touching ballad "Slow Dancing with a Memory" to the essence of compassion conveyed thru "I just Came Back from a War" to the just plain fun "Party Song" the album flows as freely as Darryl himself. The thing that makes this album so real is that it comes straight from Darryl's heart and soul. These songs reflect where he is in his own life today, as well as his passions and convictions, and ring of such honesty that they cannot be denied.
Darryl is a true artist, in every sense of the word, and that is beautifully reflected in his newest offering to the country music world. Everyone owes it to themselves to listen to this CD.......and to take a moment to reflect on their own lives.......and how living in the "Here and Now" can truly set you free."
A fun-loving departure

"On a new independent label (created by fellow performer Neal McCoy), Darryl Worley has managed to make a record drastically different from its predecessors. The traditional steel-and-twang singer of HARD RAIN DON'T LAST, I MISS MY FRIEND, and DARRYL WORLEY has been replaced by an electric guitar-fueled honky-tonker. The change is surprisingly refreshing.
Unfortunately, none of the songs here are true standouts--true, "Things I'll Never Do Again" is right up there with many old Haggard tunes, "Slow Dancing With a Memory" is a touching number, and "I Just Came Back From a War" takes a look at the oft-overlooked return of our fighting men and women (from an entirely non-political stance, it must be said). As for the rest of the songs, they get by primarily on their "fun" aspect--"Party Song" is self-explanatory, "It's the Way You Love Me" will make the women swoon and the men wish they could have come up with this groove; "Do You Know What That Is" features enjoyable harmonies; and the hiccuping at the end of "Whiskey Makes the World Go 'Round" is almost worth the price of admission.
So basically, there's nothing too original here; yet for some reason, the album comes off as a cohesive effort. In other words, it works. Darryl Worley has found a new home, a new independence (which he spends a bit too much time singing about), and a new sound. This is still hard-core country music...just perhaps more Hank Jr. than George Jones. Either way, it's still Darryl Worley, so you know you're getting your buck's worth."

"Here and Now could easily be titled This is Darryl Worley, because it is Darryl doing his music the way he wants it.
After putting alot of effort into his music and doing things the way the record label wanted things done it didn't get better for Darryl. He still couldn't find his music in stores and he was finally released.
Now he is back signing with Neal McCoy's 903 Music label and he has been given the freedom to record his music the way him and his fans want it.
This is an awesome CD that any Darryl fan will want to add to their collection.
Here is a brief rundown on the songs.
Jumping Off The Wagon is a song that tell of how his former label did him and gives you a great idea of what he had to deal with. This is a great song!
Nothin' But A Love Thang is the first single from the CD and shows a sexy side of Darryl as all who have seen the video will know.
Free is a song about celebrating being his own man.
It's The Way You Love Me is about how a woman loves her man when the lights go down.
Party Song is just that.A song to make you feel good.Darryl and the guys on the bus are talking about how it is when times are hard and trying to find a way to make the world feel good. This is one of my favorite cuts on the album.
Living In The Here And Now is about taking it day by day and dealing with tomorrow when it gets here.
Do You Know What That Is tells you that even though you don't always win you shouldn't give up or give in.
Things I'll Never Do Again is about a guy in prison who will never get to do things he loves again.
Slow Dancing With A Memory tells of a guy going into a bar and dancing with a memory.
Whiskey Makes The World Go Round is about a guy who hasn't drank much whiskey and then one night he gets a little too much and ends up on the bathroom floor."I put a big bear hug on that big white seat"
Lowdown Women is a song on how lowdown women need a lowdown man.Someone they can relate to,someone who will understand.
Nothin'To Lose is a song that says just be thankful for what you got.
I Just Came Back From A War is the current single from the album. This is an excellent song it gives you a great idea of what our soldiers are dealing with overseas.
This is some of Darryl's finest work.

"I met Darryl Worley this morning, he's here in Kuwait as part of a USO show. He'll do a show tonight with other performers and then head to Iraq. He was a very nice guy, personable, and while I only know his songs that have been on the radio, I plan on purchasing his CD's."

"This is Darryl's best music yet. If you've only heard his radio play, get Here and Now to see what the fuss is about. Darryl's music is about real life and he really gets to show himself on this album. Slow Dancin' With a Memory is one of the best and so is Free. Way to go Darryl!!!!
