Just OK, but far better than not hearing the Noels at all

"I love these pieces, and find Herrick to have a light (if somewhat overly clipped) touch to them, but I personally don't care for the sound of the organ they are played on. I'm sure there's something to be said for the "historical accuracy" of this performance, but I find the sound so bright that it often borders on shrill. The unfortunate effect being that the piece sounds obscured to me and the nuances lost."
Great performance, great organ

"These beloved pieces from the French Classical period are played in the church of St-Rémy, Dieppe, on the restored Parizot organ from 1739. The French tone-colour from this period is reflected accurately and although some people may have other opinions, no other type of organ could make these pieces come to life the way they do here; after all, one has to remember that this is the type of organ that Daquin composed these pieces for. Herrick's playing, as always, is marvelous. Highly recommended."
