"I have heard over and over that the Lord is releasing a new sound upon the earth in these end-times. I have heard that He is giving to His worshippers His true heart for His people. I believe I have found this sound in this exceptional music CD by, Danyew.
This young man has been breathed upon by the Spirit of the Lord. When I heard the song, "Close Your Eyes," I knew. The music and words of this songs are brimming with insight that few have been privileged to see or understand, but insight that is being released upon the true believers. The connection between God and His creation is definitely being focused upon, secrets revealed, and the quick passing of time before the end. This song has it all and will excite your spirit as you hear it. Only a worshipper that has connected with the Spirit of God could produce a song such as this. Exceptional.
The words and music of these songs will stir you. "Beautiful King," speaks of the majesty of the Lord. the slain Lamb, His glory unfolding, our all. A tender, personal love song. The songs you will enjoy in this work are a revelation of Who He is and what He can and will do, and our complete need to follow and adore Him. They are a joining of the heart of God and the heart of His children, a cry of our love for Him, a reminder of where we are and what is about to take place for mankind. A reminder of the majesty of God and how much He loves us.
I loved this CD and highly recommend it to those who are seeking a fresh, alive experience in worship, a taste of something new, bringing you closer to the One you love."

"Phil Danyew is pretty new to the Christian music scene...at least *I* had not heard of him before. But, when I listened to this CD I must admit that I was bowled over. Danyew has a great voice, and the music that accompanies is excellent. I really do like all of the tracks on this CD, and I do not hesitate to recommend it.
So, if you like good music, and want some really good Christian contemporary music, then get Danyew, it's a great album!"
Exceptional Musician

"This CD is evidence of the launch of an exceptional musician. His mastery of the various instruments and his very pleasing voice will no doubt make Phil Danyew a well known name. I find it very calming, yet interesting, to listen to. This music is great to listen to as well as for a calming background. The feeling that it imparts is often reminiscent of some of the softer rock from the 50s and 60s with a very original and modern component. I think it will appeal to all but the very young experimental crowd. I highly recommend it."
Christian Rock's new, contemporary artist to watch

"I enjoyed this Danyew EP. I am normally fairly critical of new artists. It's hard to differentiate yourself with today's very competitive and very open music world. For that reason, I tend to listen to more tried and true artists that I already am familiar with. Danyew has done a great job of creating something beautiful that appeals to a wide ranging audience, including myself.
I give huge accolades to whomever decided to only put out a six song album. I hate being disappointed with new artists who strive to fill up a fourteen song album and throw eight songs that should have never been recorded. Not only that, at under five dollars, this is a no-brainer purchase to get an introduction to a new artist.
My favorite songs on this album are Close Your Eyes and Beautiful King, so if you just want to sample of couple of songs, those are the two I would choose. I also thought Streetlight was very creative both lyrically and musically.
I noticed that the Amazon reviews for the 2 song EP and the six song EP are both being populated with the same reviews, so for clarification, this review applies only to the six song EP, ASIN B001UJIMTG."
Good modern, Christian rock

"This relatively short album is full of good songs. Generally in the rock/alternative mode, with bold guitar and drums, along with some keyboards and affected vocals. The singer's voice is gorgeous, the lyrics are nice, if occasionally a little odd, and the music is peppy. While Christian, most of the songs are subtle in their message.
Closer We Are: energetic rock with electronic touches. Feels like it might be the single off the album, if it was promoted like that.
Streetlight: my favorite song on the album. I love the sentiment and the music both. Perky keyboards and a strong beat dominate. Vocals reminiscent of U2. (Dare I say better?)
Close Your Eyes: slower tempo, dreamy and psychedelic, could almost be a new age song with a chorus of, "free your mind, and realize that we're all connected."
Beautiful King: the most overtly Christian song on the album. Starts out as an acoustic ballad, but eventually the electric guitars show up, but it's still very gentle and pretty.
Nothing Without You: touch of bluegrass to this song, and a female vocalist joins the usual male lead.
Turnstile: a love song, and my second-favorite on the album. Feels a little bluesy.
Overall, recommended! Reminds me a bit of The Killers, or some of the more electronic songs done by Jars of Clay (like "Heaven"). This album has been getting a lot of play in my very large music collection."
