Album Description

The debut Country album from the 8th season finalist of American Idol featuring the single "My Best Days are Ahead of Me". During his bid for the Idol title, Gokey impressed the judges with his vocal versatility, but it was his buoyant personality and perseverance in the face of adversity that earned Gokey a special place in the hearts of Idol devotees.

Great debute!

"This album is heads above releases by other season 8 idols (Kris Allen, Adam Lambert, Allison Iraheta). Country music fits Danny's voice quite well, and his voice is absolutely incredible. Every song is good; there are no duds in this set. The songs are mostly about making a difference, being happy and affirmative, and finding joy in life, and as such, they seem to flow directly from Danny's heart, even though he did not write them. Danny could and should have a long and successful career in country music, yet his appeal definitely goes beyond that genre. This is just GOOD MUSIC. Way to go, Danny."

"Danny's "My Best Days" debut is excellent! Every bit as good as the debut released by Carrie Underwood and Daughtry. Danny really has a feel for country music, and I haven't listened to much since it came out. I highly recommend this release."
