This album represents Dans style of playing and his view of what goes well with the guitar. "I use bass, vibes, flute, drums and strings primarily, however, I enjoy enhancing the arrangements with scatt vox, blow pipe or anything that fits the mood of the piece. The songs I have chosen for "Soft Romantic Nights" are all my favorites that range from 1928 through the 60s. These are songs with fabulous melodies and interesting structures that never grow old and never disappear. They create that romantic mood that makes you want to slow dance with your sweetheart. Thats why so many well known artists are constantly re-releasing them."Dan now works from his own studio in northern New Mexico and continues to play ocassionally around the area.
